Dan and Tabitha Holland both both have a wide range of experience in the equine industry. They have trained and competed in nearly every discipline along the way.
Tabitha grew up on a horse ranch in Southwest Iowa and doesn't ever remember not being able to ride. A third generation horsewoman, her father and grandfather trained reining horses when she was small, and she spent every waking moment in the barn or on the back of a horse.
Tabitha showed her ponies at the open shows and trained her first horse at the age of 12. Through her teenage years, she gave western and english lessons and continued to train colts and expand her knowledge in the show ring.
After high school, she attended Iowa State University where she won several National awards as a part of the horse judging team. She also helped teach a breaking and training class and was involved in ISU's breeding program.
Tabitha has ridden for a number of different trainers including AQHA judge, Steve Lackey, Professional Horseman, Leonard Berryhill and NCHA World Champion, Bruce Colclasure.
Dan grew up one of six children in North Central Iowa. His love was farming. He had very little equine experience before meeting Tabitha. Since then, he has worked for a variety of trainers in a number of disciplines including Multiple AQHA World Champion trainer, Leonard Berryhill and NCHA trainer, Bruce Colclasure.
Dan has a natural gift with horses, mules and donkeys and has a gentle way of explaining his methods to his clients that makes him a favorite for lessons.
Dan attended the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School and takes care of all of the farrier work at Signature Equine. He has an eye for angles and has been a big asset to their program.
Dan and Tabitha were married in 2000. Their partnership has made for a great training team complimenting each others strengths and weaknesses throughout the process. They had their own business, CIrcle H Ranch, for many years before selling it and moving to New Mexico where they helped build a successful guest ranch. After three years in New Mexico, they were ready to return to the showing world and now accept clients under the name of Signature Equine.
Both Dan and Tabitha have found success in the show ring winning titles at nearly every major show in the country. Dan prefers to show in the reining and cattle events while Tabitha enjoys western pleasure and trail. However, they usually end up competing side by side in all of the classes bidding for an all-around title.
Their good natured competition between each other drives them to succeed and they are always willing to help another competitor. You will very seldom find them without their corgis, Rudy and Roscoe who love the have their belly's rubbed at the shows.
Dan and Tabitha's clients have won multiple World and Reserve World Championships as well as top tens and year end awards. While their primary focus is now in mules and donkeys, they do continue to accept horses for training and showing.
